Who We Serve

Unify Families provides “transition and beyond” support for families with a high-needs* teen transitioning from a therapeutic program.  We provide initial transition and long-term support for teens on the path towards emerging adulthood, and for parents helping them to get there.

We also work with teens transitioning from a treatment program for whom it is predicted--due to their neurodevelopmental functioning--that longer-term support at home will be needed, beyond the typical transition period.  Maturation and launching may look different for these teens, and our experienced coaches can guide teens and parents through processes of acceptance and re-defining the path into young adulthood.

*High-Needs we work with:
Developmental: Autism Spectrum, Processing Disorders, Fetal Alcohol Syndrome
Emotional/Behavioral: Anxiety Disorders, ADHD, Attachment Disorder, PTSD, Major Depressive Disorder, Bipolar Disorder.

Ages We Serve: 14 and older

We often work with families in the Southeast U.S.  However, we can work with families in any region through phone calls, video conferencing (e.g., FT, Zoom), and home visits for families selecting this option.

Who Can Benefit

Families who will benefit most from the Unify Families approach are those who understand that the family system itself needs strengthening - not just an individual member in the family.  When families begin to see that the interaction patterns between family members is out of balance, they open the possibility of changing them.

By working to shift the system, families create new opportunities for connection.  Through our coaching and intensives, Unify Families provides the education, guidance and accountability for creating healthy, positive connections within the family.
